Hadith 3017 — Livre 56: Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad)
كتاب الجهاد والسير
Rapporté par `Ikrima : `Ali a brûlé certaines personnes et cette nouvelle est parvenue à Ibn `Abbas, qui a dit : « Si j’avais été à sa place, je ne les aurais pas brûlés, car le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : ‘Ne punissez pas (qui que ce soit) avec le châtiment d’Allah.’ Sans aucun doute, je les aurais tués, car le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : ‘Si quelqu’un (un musulman) abandonne sa religion, tuez-le.’ »

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا ـ رضى الله عنه ـ حَرَّقَ قَوْمًا، فَبَلَغَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ لَوْ كُنْتُ أَنَا لَمْ أُحَرِّقْهُمْ، لأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ تُعَذِّبُوا بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ ". وَلَقَتَلْتُهُمْ كَمَا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَنْ بَدَّلَ دِينَهُ فَاقْتُلُوهُ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Ikrima:`Ali burnt some people and this news reached Ibn `Abbas, who said, "Had I been in his place I would not have burnt them, as the Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'Don't punish (anybody) with Allah's Punishment.' No doubt, I would have killed them, for the Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے سفیان نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے ایوب نے ‘ ان سے عکرمہ نے کہ علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے ایک قوم کو ( جو عبداللہ بن سبا کی متبع تھی اور علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو اپنا رب کہتی تھی ) جلا دیا تھا۔ جب یہ خبر عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کو ملی تو آپ نے کہا کہ اگر میں ہوتا تو کبھی انہیں نہ جلاتا کیونکہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے کہ اللہ کے عذاب کی سزا کسی کو نہ دو ‘ البتہ میں انہیں قتل ضرور کرتا کیونکہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے جو شخص اپنا دین تبدیل کر دے اسے قتل کر دو۔
