Hadith 3009 — Livre 56: Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad)

Rapporté par Sahl : Le jour de la bataille de Khaybar, le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Demain, je donnerai l’étendard à quelqu’un qui sera victorieux (par la volonté d’Allah), qui aime Allah et Son Messager, et qui est aimé par Allah et Son Messager. » Les gens se demandaient toute la nuit qui recevrait l’étendard, et le matin, chacun espérait être choisi. Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a demandé : « Où est `Ali ? » On lui a dit que `Ali avait mal aux yeux, alors il a appliqué de la salive sur ses yeux et a invoqué Allah pour sa guérison. Il a été guéri aussitôt, comme s’il n’avait rien eu. Le Prophète (ﷺ) lui a donné l’étendard. `Ali a dit : « Dois-je les combattre jusqu’à ce qu’ils deviennent comme nous (c’est-à-dire musulmans) ? » Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Va vers eux avec patience et calme jusqu’à ce que tu entres sur leur territoire. Ensuite, invite-les à l’Islam et informe-les de ce qui leur est demandé, car, par Allah, si Allah guide quelqu’un grâce à toi, c’est mieux pour toi que de posséder des chameaux rouges. »

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ الْقَارِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَهْلٌ ـ رضى الله عنه يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ " لأُعْطِيَنَّ الرَّايَةَ غَدًا رَجُلاً يُفْتَحُ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ، يُحِبُّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ، وَيُحِبُّهُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ ". فَبَاتَ النَّاسُ لَيْلَتَهُمْ أَيُّهُمْ يُعْطَى فَغَدَوْا كُلُّهُمْ يَرْجُوهُ فَقَالَ " أَيْنَ عَلِيٌّ ". فَقِيلَ يَشْتَكِي عَيْنَيْهِ، فَبَصَقَ فِي عَيْنَيْهِ وَدَعَا لَهُ، فَبَرَأَ كَأَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ بِهِ وَجَعٌ، فَأَعْطَاهُ فَقَالَ أُقَاتِلُهُمْ حَتَّى يَكُونُوا مِثْلَنَا. فَقَالَ " انْفُذْ عَلَى رِسْلِكَ حَتَّى تَنْزِلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ، ثُمَّ ادْعُهُمْ إِلَى الإِسْلاَمِ، وَأَخْبِرْهُمْ بِمَا يَجِبُ عَلَيْهِمْ، فَوَاللَّهِ لأَنْ يَهْدِيَ اللَّهُ بِكَ رَجُلاً خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَكَ حُمْرُ النَّعَمِ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Sahl:On the day (of the battle) of Khaibar the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Tomorrow I will give the flag to somebody who will be given victory (by Allah) and who loves Allah and His Apostle and is loved by Allah and His Apostle." So, the people wondered all that night as to who would receive the flag and in the morning everyone hoped that he would be that person. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) asked, "Where is `Ali?" He was told that `Ali was suffering from eye-trouble, so he applied saliva to his eyes and invoked Allah to cure him. He at once got cured as if he had no ailment. The Prophet (ﷺ) gave him the flag. `Ali said, "Should I fight them till they become like us (i.e. Muslim)?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Go to them patiently and calmly till you enter the land. Then, invite them to Islam, and inform them what is enjoined upon them, for, by Allah, if Allah gives guidance to somebody through you, it is better for you than possessing red camels

ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے یعقوب بن عبدالرحمٰن بن محمد بن عبداللہ بن عبدالقاری نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے ابوحازم مسلمہ ابن دینار نے بیان کیا ‘ انہیں سہل بن سعد انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ نے خبر دی کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے خیبر کی لڑائی کے دن فرمایا ”کل میں ایسے شخص کے ہاتھ میں اسلامی جھنڈا دوں گا جس کے ہاتھ پر اسلامی فتح حاصل ہو گی ‘ جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے محبت رکھتا ہے اور جس سے اللہ اور اس کا رسول بھی محبت رکھتے ہیں۔“ رات بھر سب صحابہ کے ذہن میں یہی خیال رہا کہ دیکھئیے کہ کسے جھنڈا ملتا ہے۔ جب صبح ہوئی تو ہر شخص امیدوار تھا ‘ لیکن آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دریافت فرمایا ”علی کہاں ہیں؟“ عرض کیا گیا کہ ان کی آنکھوں میں درد ہو گیا ہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنا مبارک تھوک ان کی آنکھوں میں لگا دیا۔ اور اس سے انہیں صحت ہو گئی ‘ کسی قسم کی بھی تکلیف باقی نہ رہی۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں کو جھنڈا عطا فرمایا۔ علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ کیا میں ان لوگوں سے اس وقت تک نہ لڑوں جب تک یہ ہمارے ہی جیسے یعنی مسلمان نہ ہو جائیں۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں ہدایت فرمائی کہ یوں ہی چلا جا۔ جب ان کی سرحد میں اترے تو انہیں اسلام کی دعوت دینا اور انہیں بتانا کہ ( اسلام کے ناطے ) ان پر کون کون سے کام ضروری ہیں۔ اللہ کی قسم! اگر تمہارے ذریعہ اللہ ایک شخص کو بھی مسلمان کر دے تو یہ تمہارے لیے سرخ اونٹوں سے بہتر ہے۔
