Rapporté par Jabir bin `Abdullah : Chaque fois que nous montions quelque part, nous disions : « Allahu Akbar » (c’est-à-dire Allah est le Plus Grand), et chaque fois que nous descendions, nous disions : « Subhan Allah »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ كُنَّا إِذَا صَعِدْنَا كَبَّرْنَا، وَإِذَا نَزَلْنَا سَبَّحْنَا.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:Whenever we went up a place we would say, "Allahu--Akbar (i.e. Allah is Greater)", and whenever we went down a place we would say, "Subhan Allah

ہم سے محمد بن یوسف نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے حصین بن عبدالرحمٰن نے ان سے سالم بن ابی الجعد نے اور ان سے جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ جب ہم ( کسی بلندی پر ) چڑھتے، تو «الله اكبر» کہتے اور جب ( کسی نشیب میں ) اترتے تو «سبحان الله» کہتے تھے۔
