Rapporté par Malik bin Al-Huwairith : Au moment de mon départ du Prophète (ﷺ), il a dit à moi et à un ami : « Vous deux, faites l’Adhan et l’Iqama pour la prière, et que le plus âgé d’entre vous dirige la prière. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شِهَابٍ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ، قَالَ انْصَرَفْتُ مِنْ عِنْدِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَقَالَ لَنَا أَنَا وَصَاحِبٌ لِي " أَذِّنَا وَأَقِيمَا، وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمَا أَكْبَرُكُمَا ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Malik bin Al-Huwairith:On my departure from the Prophet (ﷺ) he said to me and to a friend of mine, "You two, pronounce the Adhan and the Iqama for the prayer and let the elder of you lead the prayer

ہم سے احمد بن یونس نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے ابوشہاب نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے خالد حذاء نے ‘ ان سے ابوقلابہ نے اور ان سے مالک بن حویرث رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ جب ہم نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے یہاں سے وطن کے لیے واپس لوٹے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہم سے فرمایا ایک میں تھا اور دوسرے میرے ساتھی ‘ ( ہر نماز کے وقت ) اذان پکارنا اور اقامت کہنا اور تم دونوں میں جو بڑا ہو وہ نماز پڑھائے۔
