Hadith 2822 — Livre 56: Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad)
كتاب الجهاد والسير
Rapporté par `Amr bin Maimun Al-Audi : Sa`d enseignait à ses fils les paroles suivantes, comme un professeur enseigne l’écriture à ses élèves, et il disait que le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) cherchait refuge auprès d’Allah contre ces maux à la fin de chaque prière. Les paroles sont : « Ô Allah ! Je cherche refuge auprès de Toi contre la lâcheté, contre le fait de retomber dans une mauvaise vieillesse, contre les épreuves de ce monde et contre les châtiments de la tombe. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ، سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ مَيْمُونٍ الأَوْدِيَّ، قَالَ كَانَ سَعْدٌ يُعَلِّمُ بَنِيهِ هَؤُلاَءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ كَمَا يُعَلِّمُ الْمُعَلِّمُ الْغِلْمَانَ الْكِتَابَةَ، وَيَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْهُنَّ دُبُرَ الصَّلاَةِ " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أُرَدَّ إِلَى أَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدُّنْيَا، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ ". فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ مُصْعَبًا فَصَدَّقَهُ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Amr bin Maimun Al-Audi:Sa`d used to teach his sons the following words as a teacher teaches his students the skill of writing and used to say that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to seek Refuge with Allah from them (i.e. the evils) at the end of every prayer. The words are: 'O Allah! I seek refuge with You from cowardice, and seek refuge with You from being brought back to a bad stage of old life and seek refuge with You from the afflictions of the world, and seek refuge with You from the punishments in the grave

ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے ابوعوانہ نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے عبدالمالک بن عمیر نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے عمرو بن میمون اودی سے سنا ‘ انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ اپنے بچوں کو یہ کلمات دعائیہ اس طرح سکھاتے تھے جیسے معلم بچوں کو لکھنا سکھاتا ہے اور فرماتے تھے «اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الجبن، وأعوذ بك أن أرد إلى أرذل العمر، وأعوذ بك من فتنة الدنيا، وأعوذ بك من عذاب القبر» ”اے اللہ! بزدلی سے میں تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں ‘ اس سے تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں کہ عمر کے سب سے ذلیل حصے ( بڑھاپے ) میں پہنچا دیا جاؤں اور تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں میں دنیا کے فتنوں سے اور تیری پناہ مانگتا ہوں قبر کے عذاب سے۔“ پھر میں نے یہ حدیث جب مصعب بن سعد سے بیان کی تو انہوں نے بھی اس کی تصدیق کی۔
