Rapporté par `Abdullah bin `Abbas : Abu Sufyan lui a dit qu'Héraclius lui avait dit : Je t'ai demandé quel était le résultat de vos batailles contre lui (c'est-à-dire le Prophète (ﷺ)) et tu m'as dit que vous vous battiez chacun avec des succès alternés. Ainsi, les Prophètes sont éprouvés de cette manière mais la victoire finale leur revient toujours

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ هِرَقْلَ قَالَ لَهُ سَأَلْتُكَ كَيْفَ كَانَ قِتَالُكُمْ إِيَّاهُ فَزَعَمْتَ أَنَّ الْحَرْبَ سِجَالٌ وَدُوَلٌ، فَكَذَلِكَ الرُّسُلُ تُبْتَلَى ثُمَّ تَكُونُ لَهُمُ الْعَاقِبَةُ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Abbas:That Abu Sufyan told him that Heraclius said to him, "I asked you about the outcome of your battles with him (i.e. the Prophet (ﷺ) ) and you told me that you fought each other with alternate success. So the Apostles are tested in this way but the ultimate victory is always theirs

ہم سے یحییٰ بن بکیر نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے لیث نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ مجھ سے یونس نے بیان کیا ابن شہاب سے ‘ انہوں نے عبیداللہ بن عبداللہ سے انہیں عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے خبر دی اور انہیں ابوسفیان رضی اللہ عنہ نے خبر دی کہ ہرقل نے ان سے کہا تھا میں نے تم سے پوچھا تھا کہ ان کے یعنی ( نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) کے ساتھ تمہاری لڑائیوں کا کیا انجام رہتا ہے تو تم نے بتایا کہ لڑائی ڈولوں کی طرح ہے ‘ کبھی ادھر کبھی ادھر یعنی کبھی لڑائی کا انجام ہمارے حق میں ہوتا ہے اور کبھی ان کے حق میں۔ انبیاء کا بھی یہی حال ہوتا ہے کہ ان کی آزمائش ہوتی رہتی ہے ( کبھی فتح اور کبھی ہار سے ) لیکن انجام انہیں کے حق میں اچھا ہوتا ہے۔
