Hadith 2786 — Livre 56: Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad)
كتاب الجهاد والسير
Rapporté par Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri : Quelqu’un a demandé : « Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Qui est la meilleure personne ? » Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a répondu : « Un croyant qui s’efforce au maximum dans la cause d’Allah avec sa vie et ses biens. » Ils ont demandé : « Et ensuite ? » Il a répondu : « Un croyant qui reste dans un chemin de montagne, adorant Allah et laissant les gens à l’abri de son mal. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيُّ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَىُّ النَّاسِ أَفْضَلُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مُؤْمِنٌ يُجَاهِدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بِنَفْسِهِ وَمَالِهِ ". قَالُوا ثُمَّ مَنْ قَالَ " مُؤْمِنٌ فِي شِعْبٍ مِنَ الشِّعَابِ يَتَّقِي اللَّهَ، وَيَدَعُ النَّاسَ مِنْ شَرِّهِ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:Somebody asked, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Who is the best among the people?" Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) replied "A believer who strives his utmost in Allah's Cause with his life and property." They asked, "Who is next?" He replied, "A believer who stays in one of the mountain paths worshipping Allah and leaving the people secure from his mischief
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے ابوالیمان نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم کو شعیب نے خبر دی ‘ انہیں زہری نے ‘ انہوں نے کہا کہ مجھ سے عطاء بن یزید لیثی نے کہا اور ان سے ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ عرض کیا گیا یا رسول اللہ! کون شخص سب سے افضل ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”وہ مومن جو اللہ کے راستے میں اپنی جان اور مال سے جہاد کرے۔“ صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم نے پوچھا اس کے بعد کون؟ فرمایا ”وہ مومن جو پہاڑ کی کسی گھاٹی میں رہنا اختیار کرے ‘ اللہ تعالیٰ کا خوف رکھتا ہو اور لوگوں کو چھوڑ کر اپنی برائی سے ان کو محفوظ رکھے۔“
