Rapporté par Abu Huraira : Un homme a demandé au Prophète : « Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ), quelle est la meilleure aumône ? » Il a répondu : « Donner en aumône quand tu es en bonne santé, avide de richesse, espérant devenir riche et craignant la pauvreté. Ne tarde pas à donner l’aumône jusqu’au moment où tu es sur ton lit de mort, en disant : “Donne tant à untel et tant à untel”, car à ce moment-là, tes biens ne t’appartiennent plus, mais à tes héritiers. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَىُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ " أَنْ تَصَدَّقَ وَأَنْتَ صَحِيحٌ حَرِيصٌ. تَأْمُلُ الْغِنَى، وَتَخْشَى الْفَقْرَ، وَلاَ تُمْهِلْ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْحُلْقُومَ قُلْتَ لِفُلاَنٍ كَذَا وَلِفُلاَنٍ كَذَا، وَقَدْ كَانَ لِفُلاَنٍ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Huraira:A man asked the Prophet, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! What kind of charity is the best?" He replied. "To give in charity when you are healthy and greedy hoping to be wealthy and afraid of becoming poor. Don't delay giving in charity till the time when you are on the death bed when you say, 'Give so much to so-and-so and so much to so-and-so,' and at that time the property is not yours but it belongs to so-and-so (i.e. your inheritors)
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے محمد بن علاء نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے ابواسامہ نے بیان کیا سفیان ثوری سے ‘ وہ عمارہ سے ‘ ان سے ابوزرعہ نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ ایک صحابی نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ! کون سا صدقہ افضل ہے؟ فرمایا یہ کہ صدقہ تندرستی کی حالت میں کر کہ ( تجھ کو اس مال کو باقی رکھنے کی ) خواہش بھی ہو جس سے کچھ سرمایہ جمع ہو جانے کی تمہیں امید ہو اور ( اسے خرچ کرنے کی صورت میں ) محتاجی کا ڈر ہو اور اس میں تاخیر نہ کر کہ جب روح حلق تک پہنچ جائے تو کہنے بیٹھ جائے کہ اتنا مال فلاں کے لیے ‘ فلانے کو اتنا دینا ‘ اب تو فلانے کا ہو ہی گیا ( تو تو دنیا سے چلا ) ۔
