Rapporté par Ibn ‘Abbas : Je recommande aux gens de réduire la part de ce qu’ils lèguent par testament au quart (de tout l’héritage), car le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : « Un tiers, mais même un tiers c’est trop. »

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ لَوْ غَضَّ النَّاسُ إِلَى الرُّبْعِ، لأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الثُّلُثُ، وَالثُّلُثُ كَثِيرٌ أَوْ كَبِيرٌ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:I recommend that people reduce the proportion of what they bequeath by will to the fourth (of the whole legacy), for Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "One-third, yet even one third is too much
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے ہشام بن عروہ نے ‘ ان سے ان کے والد نے اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کاش ! لوگ (وصیت کو) چوتھائی تک کم کر دیتے تو بہتر ہوتا کیونکہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا تھا ” تم تہائی (کی وصیت کر سکتے ہو) اور تہائی بھی بہت ہے ۔ “ یا (آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ فرمایا کہ) ” یہ بہت زیادہ رقم ہے ۔ “
