Rapporté par Abu Huraira : Le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) a dit : « Si les gens connaissaient la récompense liée à l'appel à la prière et à la première rangée lors de la prière, et s'il n'y avait pas d'autre moyen d'obtenir cette place que de tirer au sort, ils le feraient sûrement. S'ils connaissaient la récompense de la prière de midi, ils se dépêcheraient pour y assister, et s'ils connaissaient la récompense des prières du matin (Fajr) et du soir (‘Isha), ils viendraient même en rampant s'il le fallait. »

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ سُمَىٍّ، مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ مَا فِي النِّدَاءِ وَالصَّفِّ الأَوَّلِ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَجِدُوا إِلاَّ أَنْ يَسْتَهِمُوا عَلَيْهِ لاَسْتَهَمُوا، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِي التَّهْجِيرِ لاَسْتَبَقُوا إِلَيْهِ، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِي الْعَتَمَةِ وَالصُّبْحِ لأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "If the people knew what is the reward of making the call (for the prayer) and (of being in) the first row (in the prayer), and if they found no other way to get this privilege except by casting lots, they would certainly cast lots for it. If they knew the reward of the noon prayer, they would race for it, and if they knew the reward of the morning (i.e. Fajr) and `Isha prayers, they would present themselves for the prayer even if they had to crawl to reach there

ہم سے اسماعیل نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھ سے امام مالک نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوبکر کے غلام سمی نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابوصالح نے اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”اگر لوگوں کو معلوم ہوتا کہ اذان اور صف اول میں کتنا ثواب ہے اور پھر ( انہیں اس کے حاصل کرنے کے لیے ) قرعہ اندازی کرنی پڑتی، تو وہ قرعہ اندازی بھی کرتے اور اگر انہیں معلوم ہو جائے کہ نماز سویرے پڑھنے میں کتنا ثواب ہے تو لوگ ایک دوسرے سے سبقت کرنے لگیں اور اگر انہیں معلوم ہو جائے کہ عشاء اور صبح کی کتنی فضیلتیں ہیں تو اگر گھٹنوں کے بل آنا پڑتا تو پھر بھی آتے۔“
