Hadith 2555 — Livre 49: Manumission of Slaves
كتاب العتق
Rapporté par Abu Huraira et Zaid bin Khalid : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Si une esclave commet un acte sexuel interdit, fouettez-la ; si elle recommence, fouettez-la encore ; si elle le refait, fouettez-la de nouveau. » Le rapporteur ajoute qu’à la troisième ou quatrième fois, le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Vendez-la, même pour une corde en poil. »

حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، وَزَيْدَ بْنَ خَالِدٍ، رضى الله عنهما عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا زَنَتِ الأَمَةُ فَاجْلِدُوهَا، ثُمَّ إِذَا زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا، ثُمَّ إِذَا زَنَتْ فَاجْلِدُوهَا، فِي الثَّالِثَةِ أَوِ الرَّابِعَةِ بِيعُوهَا وَلَوْ بِضَفِيرٍ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Huraira and Zaid bin Khalid:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If a slave-girl (Ama) commits illegal sexual intercourse, scourge her; if she does it again, scourge her again; if she repeats it, scourge her again." The narrator added that on the third or the fourth offense, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Sell her even for a hair rope
