Rapporté par ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas : Selon As-Sa‘b ibn Jath-thama Al-Laithi, ce dernier a offert un âne sauvage au Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) alors qu’il était à Al-Abwa’ ou à Waddan, et il l’a refusé. En voyant des signes de déception sur le visage d’As-Sa‘b, le Prophète (ﷺ) lui dit : « Je ne l’ai refusé que parce que je suis en état d’Ihram. »

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ الصَّعْبِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ اللَّيْثِيِّ، أَنَّهُ أَهْدَى لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِمَارًا وَحْشِيًّا، وَهْوَ بِالأَبْوَاءِ أَوْ بِوَدَّانَ فَرَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ، فَلَمَّا رَأَى مَا فِي وَجْهِهِ قَالَ " إِنَّا لَمْ نَرُدَّهُ عَلَيْكَ إِلاَّ أَنَّا حُرُمٌ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Abbas:From As-Sa'b bin Jath-thama Al-Laithi that the latter presented an onager to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) while he was at Al-Abwa' or at Waddan, and he refused it. On noticing the signs of some unpleasant feeling of disappointment on his (As-Sab's) face, the Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "I have only returned it because I am Muhrim
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے عبداللہ بن یوسف نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم کو امام مالک نے خبر دی، انہیں ابن شہاب نے، انہیں عبیداللہ بن عبداللہ بن عتبہ بن مسعود نے، انہیں عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے اور انہیں صعب بن جثامہ لیثی رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ جب وہ ابواء یا ودان میں تھے تو انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ایک گورخر کا تحفہ دیا تو آپ نے اسے واپس کر دیا تھا، پھر جب آپ نے ان کے چہروں پر ناراضگی کا رنگ دیکھا تو آپ نے فرمایا واپسی کی وجہ صرف یہ ہے کہ ہم احرام باندھے ہوئے ہیں۔
