Rapporté par Az-Zoubayr bin Al-‘Awwam : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : Il vaut mieux pour l’un de vous de prendre une corde, d’aller couper et rapporter un fagot de bois (de la forêt) sur son dos et de le vendre, et Allah lui épargnera le feu de l’Enfer grâce à cela, plutôt que de demander aux gens qui peuvent lui donner ou non

Texte arabe original
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لأَنْ يَأْخُذَ أَحَدُكُمْ حَبْلَهُ فَيَأْتِيَ بِحُزْمَةِ الْحَطَبِ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ فَيَبِيعَهَا فَيَكُفَّ اللَّهُ بِهَا وَجْهَهُ، خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ النَّاسَ أَعْطَوْهُ أَوْ مَنَعُوهُ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Az-Zubair bin Al-`Awwam:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "It is better for anyone of you to take a rope (and cut) and bring a bundle of wood (from the forest) over his back and sell it and Allah will save his face (from the Hell-Fire) because of that, rather than to ask the people who may give him or not
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے موسیٰ بن اسماعیل نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہم سے وہیب نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ ہم سے ہشام بن عروہ نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے ان کے والد نے ‘ ان سے زبیر بن عوام رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا تم میں سے کوئی بھی اگر ( ضرورت مند ہو تو ) اپنی رسی لے کر آئے اور لکڑیوں کا گٹھا باندھ کر اپنی پیٹھ پر رکھ کر لائے۔ اور اسے بیچے۔ اس طرح اللہ تعالیٰ اس کی عزت کو محفوظ رکھ لے تو یہ اس سے اچھا ہے کہ وہ لوگوں سے سوال کرتا پھرے ‘ اسے وہ دیں یا نہ دیں۔
