Hadith 1378 — Livre 23: Funerals (Al-Janaa'iz)
كتاب الجنائز
Rapporté par Ibn `Abbas : Le Prophète (ﷺ) est passé un jour devant deux tombes et a dit : « Les personnes dans ces tombes sont punies, mais pas pour quelque chose de difficile à éviter. » Puis il a ajouté : « Oui, (c’est un grand péché), car l’un d’eux colportait des rumeurs et l’autre ne se protégeait pas de l’urine. » (Ibn `Abbas ajoute :) Ensuite, il a pris une feuille verte de palmier, l’a coupée en deux et a posé un morceau sur chaque tombe. Il a dit : « Que leur châtiment soit allégé tant que ces deux morceaux ne seront pas secs. »

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى قَبْرَيْنِ فَقَالَ " إِنَّهُمَا لَيُعَذَّبَانِ، وَمَا يُعَذَّبَانِ مِنْ كَبِيرٍ ـ ثُمَّ قَالَ ـ بَلَى أَمَّا أَحَدُهُمَا فَكَانَ يَسْعَى بِالنَّمِيمَةِ، وَأَمَّا أَحَدُهُمَا فَكَانَ لاَ يَسْتَتِرُ مِنْ بَوْلِهِ ". قَالَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ عُودًا رَطْبًا فَكَسَرَهُ بِاثْنَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ غَرَزَ كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَلَى قَبْرٍ، ثُمَّ قَالَ " لَعَلَّهُ يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمَا مَا لَمْ يَيْبَسَا ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:The Prophet (ﷺ) once passed by two graves and said, "They (the deceased persons in those graves) are being tortured not for a great thing to avoid." And then added, "Yes, (they are being punished for a big sin), for one of them used to go about with calumnies while the other never saved himself from being soiled with his urine." (Ibn `Abbas added): Then he took a green leaf of a date-palm) and split it into two pieces and fixed one piece on each grave and said, "May their punishment be abated till these (two pieces) get dry

ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے جریر نے بیان کیا ‘ ان سے اعمش نے ‘ ان سے مجاہد نے ‘ ان سے طاؤس نے کہ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا گزر دو قبروں پر ہوا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ ان دونوں کے مردوں پر عذاب ہو رہا ہے اور یہ بھی نہیں کہ کسی بڑی اہم بات پر ہو رہا ہے۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ ہاں! ان میں ایک شخص تو چغل خوری کیا کرتا تھا اور دوسرا پیشاب سے بچنے کے لیے احتیاط نہیں کرتا تھا۔ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک ہری ٹہنی لی اور اس کے دو ٹکڑے کر کے دونوں کی قبروں پر گاڑ دیا اور فرمایا کہ شاید جب تک یہ خشک نہ ہوں ان کا عذاب کم ہو جائے۔
