Hadith 1179 — Livre 19: Prayer at Night (Tahajjud)
كتاب قيام الليل
Rapporté par Anas bin Sirin : J’ai entendu Anas bin Malik al-Ansari dire : « Un homme ansar, qui était très corpulent, a dit au Prophète : ‘Je ne peux pas venir prier avec toi.’ Il a préparé un repas pour le Prophète (ﷺ) et l’a invité chez lui. Il a lavé un côté d’un tapis avec de l’eau et le Prophète (ﷺ) a accompli deux unités de prière dessus. » Un certain fils d’un certain fils d’Al-Jarud a demandé à Anas : « Est-ce que le Prophète (ﷺ) faisait la prière Duha ? » Anas a répondu : « Je ne l’ai vu prier (la prière Duha) que ce jour-là. »

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ الأَنْصَارِيَّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ ـ وَكَانَ ضَخْمًا ـ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِنِّي لاَ أَسْتَطِيعُ الصَّلاَةَ مَعَكَ. فَصَنَعَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم طَعَامًا، فَدَعَاهُ إِلَى بَيْتِهِ، وَنَضَحَ لَهُ طَرَفَ حَصِيرٍ بِمَاءٍ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ. وَقَالَ فُلاَنُ بْنُ فُلاَنِ بْنِ جَارُودٍ لأَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّي الضُّحَى فَقَالَ مَا رَأَيْتُهُ صَلَّى غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Anas bin Sirin: I heard Anas bin Malik al-Ansari saying, "An Ansari man, who was very fat, said to the Prophet, 'I am unable to present myself for the prayer with you.' He prepared a meal for the Prophet (ﷺ) and invited him to his house. He washed one side of a mat with water and the Prophet (ﷺ) offered two Rakat on it." So and so, the son of so and so, the son of Al-Jarud asked Anas, "Did the Prophet (ﷺ) use to offer the Duha prayer?" Anas replied, "I never saw him praying (the Duha prayer) except on that day

ہم سے علی بن جعد نے بیان کیا کہ ہم کو شعبہ نے خبر دی، ان سے انس بن سیرین نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے انس بن مالک انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا کہ انصار میں سے ایک شخص ( عتبان بن مالک ) نے جو بہت موٹے آدمی تھے، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کیا کہ میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نماز پڑھنے کی طاقت نہیں رکھتا ( مجھ کو گھر پر نماز پڑھنے کی اجازت دیجئیے تو ) انہوں نے اپنے گھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لیے کھانا پکوایا اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اپنے گھر بلایا اور ایک چٹائی کے کنارے کو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لیے پانی سے صاف کیا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس پر دو رکعت نماز پڑھی۔ اور فلاں بن فلاں بن جارود نے انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا کہ کیا نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم چاشت کی نماز پڑھا کرتے تھے؟ تو آپ نے فرمایا کہ میں نے اس روز کے سوا آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کبھی یہ نماز پڑھتے نہیں دیکھا۔
