Hadith 1137 — Livre 19: Prayer at Night (Tahajjud)
كتاب قيام الليل
Rapporté par `Abdullah bin `Umar : Un homme demanda : « Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Comment se fait la prière de la nuit ? » Il répondit : « Deux unités de prière, puis encore deux unités, et ainsi de suite. Et quand tu crains que l’aube approche, alors fais une unité en guise de witr. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ إِنَّ رَجُلاً قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، كَيْفَ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ قَالَ " مَثْنَى مَثْنَى، فَإِذَا خِفْتَ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتِرْ بِوَاحِدَةٍ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:A man said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! How is the prayer of the night?" He said, "Two rak`at followed by two rak`at and so on, and when you apprehend the approaching dawn, offer one rak`a as witr

ہم سے ابوالیمان نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہمیں شعیب نے زہری سے خبر دی، کہا کہ مجھے سالم بن عبداللہ نے خبر دی کہ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا ایک شخص نے دریافت کیا یا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! رات کی نماز کس طرح پڑھی جائے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا دو، دو رکعت اور جب طلوع صبح ہونے کا اندیشہ ہو تو ایک رکعت وتر پڑھ کر اپنی ساری نماز کو طاق بنا لے۔
