كتاب قيام الليل
Rapporté par Jundab ibn ‘Abdullah : Gabriel n’est pas venu voir le Prophète pendant un certain temps, alors une femme des Quraych a dit : « Son démon l’a abandonné. » Alors la Révélation divine est descendue : « Par le matin, et par la nuit quand elle est calme ! Ton Seigneur (Ô Muhammad) ne t’a ni abandonné ni détesté. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ جُنْدَبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ احْتَبَسَ جِبْرِيلُ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ أَبْطَأَ عَلَيْهِ شَيْطَانُهُ. فَنَزَلَتْ {وَالضُّحَى * وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَى * مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى}
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Jundab bin `Abdullah:Gabriel did not come to the Prophet (for some time) and so one of the Quraish women said, "His Satan has deserted him." So came the Divine Revelation: "By the forenoon And by the night When it is still! Your Lord (O Muhammad) has neither Forsaken you Nor hated you
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے محمد بن کثیر نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمیں سفیان ثوری نے اسود بن قیس سے خبر دی، ان سے جندب بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ جبرائیل علیہ السلام ( ایک مرتبہ چند دنوں تک ) نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس ( وحی لے کر ) نہیں آئے تو قریش کی ایک عورت ( ام جمیل ابولہب کی بیوی ) نے کہا کہ اب اس کے شیطان نے اس کے پاس آنے سے دیر لگائی۔ اس پر یہ سورت اتری «والضحى * والليل إذا سجى * ما ودعك ربك وما قلى» ۔
