Hadith 1021 — Livre 15: Invoking Allah for Rain (Istisqaa)
كتاب الاستسقاء
Rapporté par Anas : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) prononçait le sermon du vendredi quand les gens se sont levés, ont crié et ont dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Il n’y a pas de pluie, les arbres sont desséchés et le bétail est perdu ; prie Allah pour la pluie. » Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a alors dit deux fois : « Ô Allah ! Accorde-nous la pluie. » Par Allah, il n’y avait aucune trace de nuage dans le ciel, puis soudain le ciel s’est couvert et il a commencé à pleuvoir. Le Prophète (ﷺ) est descendu de la chaire et a accompli la prière. Quand il est revenu de la prière (chez lui), il pleuvait et il a plu sans interruption jusqu’au vendredi suivant. Quand le Prophète a commencé le sermon du vendredi, les gens ont crié et lui ont dit : « Les maisons se sont effondrées et les routes sont coupées ; prie Allah pour qu’Il arrête la pluie. » Le Prophète (ﷺ) a souri et a dit : « Ô Allah ! Autour de nous et non sur nous. » Le ciel s’est alors dégagé au-dessus de Médine mais il a continué de pleuvoir autour (de Médine) et pas une seule goutte n’est tombée sur la ville. J’ai regardé le ciel, il était aussi clair et lumineux qu’une couronne

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ جُمُعَةٍ، فَقَامَ النَّاسُ فَصَاحُوا فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، قَحَطَ الْمَطَرُ وَاحْمَرَّتِ الشَّجَرُ وَهَلَكَتِ الْبَهَائِمُ، فَادْعُ اللَّهَ يَسْقِينَا. فَقَالَ " اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا ". مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ مَا نَرَى فِي السَّمَاءِ قَزَعَةً مِنْ سَحَابٍ، فَنَشَأَتْ سَحَابَةٌ وَأَمْطَرَتْ، وَنَزَلَ عَنِ الْمِنْبَرِ فَصَلَّى، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ لَمْ تَزَلْ تُمْطِرُ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ الَّتِي تَلِيهَا، فَلَمَّا قَامَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَخْطُبُ صَاحُوا إِلَيْهِ تَهَدَّمَتِ الْبُيُوتُ وَانْقَطَعَتِ السُّبُلُ، فَادْعُ اللَّهَ يَحْبِسُهَا عَنَّا. فَتَبَسَّمَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ قَالَ " اللَّهُمَّ حَوَالَيْنَا وَلاَ عَلَيْنَا ". فَكُشِطَتِ الْمَدِينَةُ، فَجَعَلَتْ تُمْطِرُ حَوْلَهَا وَلاَ تَمْطُرُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ قَطْرَةً، فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَإِنَّهَا لَفِي مِثْلِ الإِكْلِيلِ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Anas:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was delivering the Khutba (sermon) on a Friday when the people stood up, shouted and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! There is no rain (drought), the trees have dried and the livestock are destroyed; Please pray to Allah for rain." So Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said twice, "O Allah! Bless us with rain." By Allah, there was no trace of cloud in the sky and suddenly the sky became overcast with clouds and it started raining. The Prophet (ﷺ) came down the pulpit and offered the prayer. When he came back from the prayer (to his house) it was raining and it rained continuously till the next Friday. When the Prophet started delivering the Friday Khutba (sermon), the people started shouting and said to him, "The houses have collapsed and the roads are cut off; so please pray to Allah to withhold the rain." So the Prophet (ﷺ) smiled and said, "O Allah! Round about us and not on us." So the sky became clear over Medina but it kept on raining over the outskirts (of Medina) and not a single drop of rain fell over Medina. I looked towards the sky which was as bright and clear as a crown
Traduction en ourdou
مجھ سے محمد بن ابی بکر نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے معتمر بن سلیمان نے عبیداللہ عمری سے بیان کیا، ان سے ثابت نے، ان سے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جمعہ کے دن خطبہ دے رہے تھے کہ اتنے میں لوگوں نے کھڑے ہو کر غل مچایا، کہنے لگے کہ یا رسول اللہ! بارش کے نام بوند بھی نہیں درخت سرخ ہو چکے ( یعنی تمام پتے خشک ہو گئے ) اور جانور تباہ ہو رہے ہیں، آپ اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا کیجئے کہ ہمیں سیراب کرے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دعا کی «اللهم اسقنا» اے اللہ! ہمیں سیراب کر۔ دو مرتبہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس طرح کہا، قسم اللہ کی اس وقت آسمان پر بادل کہیں دور دور نظر نہیں آتا تھا لیکن دعا کے بعد اچانک ایک بادل آیا اور بارش شروع ہو گئی۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم منبر سے اتر ے اور نماز پڑھائی۔ جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو بارش ہو رہی تھی اور دوسرے جمعہ تک بارش برابر ہوتی رہی پھر جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم دوسرے جمعہ میں خطبہ کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے تو لوگوں نے بتایا کہ مکانات منہدم ہو گئے اور راستے بند ہو گئے، اللہ سے دعا کیجئے کہ بارش بند کر دے۔ اس پر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مسکرائے اور دعا کی «االلهم حوالينا ولا علينا» اے اللہ! ہمارے اطراف میں اب بارش برسا، مدینہ میں اس کا سلسلہ بند کر۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی دعا سے مدینہ سے بادل چھٹ گئے اور بارش ہمارے ارد گرد ہونے لگی۔ اس شان سے کہ اب مدینہ میں ایک بوند بھی نہ پڑتی تھی میں نے مدینہ کو دیکھا ابر تاج کی طرح گردا گرد تھا اور مدینہ اس کے بیچ میں۔
