Hadith 1013 — Livre 15: Invoking Allah for Rain (Istisqaa)
كتاب الاستسقاء
Rapporté par Sharik bin `Abdullah bin Abi Namir : J’ai entendu Anas bin Malik dire : « Un vendredi, une personne est entrée dans la grande mosquée par la porte en face du minbar pendant que le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) prononçait le prêche. L’homme s’est tenu devant le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) et a dit : ‘Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Les animaux meurent et les routes sont coupées ; prie Allah pour la pluie.’ » Anas a ajouté : « Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a levé les deux mains et a dit : ‘Ô Allah ! Accorde-nous la pluie ! Ô Allah ! Accorde-nous la pluie ! Ô Allah ! Accorde-nous la pluie !’ » Anas a poursuivi : « Par Allah, il n’y avait aucune trace de nuage dans le ciel et aucun bâtiment ou maison entre nous et les montagnes de Sila. » Anas a ajouté : « Un gros nuage, comme un bouclier, est apparu derrière la montagne de Sila. Quand il est arrivé au milieu du ciel, il s’est étendu et il a plu. » Anas a encore dit : « Par Allah ! Nous n’avons pas vu le soleil pendant une semaine. Le vendredi suivant, une personne est entrée par la même porte alors que le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) faisait le prêche du vendredi. L’homme s’est tenu devant lui et a dit : ‘Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Les animaux meurent et les routes sont coupées, prie Allah pour qu’il arrête la pluie.’ » Anas a ajouté : « Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a levé les deux mains et a dit : ‘Ô Allah ! Autour de nous et non sur nous. Ô Allah ! Sur les plateaux, sur les montagnes, sur les collines, dans les vallées et là où poussent les arbres.’ Alors la pluie s’est arrêtée et nous sommes sortis marcher au soleil. » Sharik a demandé à Anas si c’était la même personne qui avait demandé la pluie le vendredi précédent. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو ضَمْرَةَ، أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ رَجُلاً، دَخَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ مِنْ باب كَانَ وُجَاهَ الْمِنْبَرِ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَائِمٌ يَخْطُبُ فَاسْتَقْبَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَائِمًا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، هَلَكَتِ الْمَوَاشِي وَانْقَطَعَتِ السُّبُلُ، فَادْعُ اللَّهَ يُغِيثُنَا. قَالَ فَرَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ " اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا، اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا، اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِنَا ". قَالَ أَنَسٌ وَلاَ وَاللَّهِ مَا نَرَى فِي السَّمَاءِ مِنْ سَحَابٍ وَلاَ قَزَعَةً وَلاَ شَيْئًا، وَمَا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ سَلْعٍ مِنْ بَيْتٍ وَلاَ دَارٍ، قَالَ فَطَلَعَتْ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ سَحَابَةٌ مِثْلُ التُّرْسِ، فَلَمَّا تَوَسَّطَتِ السَّمَاءَ انْتَشَرَتْ ثُمَّ أَمْطَرَتْ. قَالَ وَاللَّهِ مَا رَأَيْنَا الشَّمْسَ سِتًّا، ثُمَّ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْبَابِ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ الْمُقْبِلَةِ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَائِمٌ يَخْطُبُ، فَاسْتَقْبَلَهُ قَائِمًا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، هَلَكَتِ الأَمْوَالُ وَانْقَطَعَتِ السُّبُلُ، فَادْعُ اللَّهَ يُمْسِكْهَا، قَالَ فَرَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ " اللَّهُمَّ حَوَالَيْنَا وَلاَ عَلَيْنَا، اللَّهُمَّ عَلَى الآكَامِ وَالْجِبَالِ وَالآجَامِ وَالظِّرَابِ وَالأَوْدِيَةِ وَمَنَابِتِ الشَّجَرِ ". قَالَ فَانْقَطَعَتْ وَخَرَجْنَا نَمْشِي فِي الشَّمْسِ. قَالَ شَرِيكٌ فَسَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا أَهُوَ الرَّجُلُ الأَوَّلُ قَالَ لاَ أَدْرِي.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Sharik bin `Abdullah bin Abi Namir:I heard Anas bin Malik saying, "On a Friday a person entered the main Mosque through the gate facing the pulpit while Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was delivering the Khutba. The man stood in front of Allah's Apostle and said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! The livestock are dying and the roads are cut off; so please pray to Allah for rain.' " Anas added, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) raised both his hands and said, 'O Allah! Bless us with rain! O Allah! Bless us with rain! O Allah! Bless us with rain!' " Anas added, "By Allah, we could not see any trace of cloud in the sky and there was no building or a house between us and (the mountains of) Sila." Anas added, "A heavy cloud like a shield appeared from behind it (i.e. Sila' Mountain). When it came in the middle of the sky, it spread and then rained." Anas further said, "By Allah! We could not see the sun for a week. Next Friday a person entered through the same gate and at that time Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was delivering the Friday's Khutba. The man stood in front of him and said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! The livestock are dying and the roads are cut off, please pray to Allah to withhold rain.'" Anas added, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) raised both his hands and said, 'O Allah! Round about us and not on us. O Allah! On the plateaus, on the mountains, on the hills, in the valleys and on the places where trees grow.' So the rain stopped and we came out walking in the sun." Sharik asked Anas whether it was the same person who had asked for the rain (the last Friday). Anas replied that he did not know

ہم سے محمد بن مرحوم بیکندی نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ابوضمرہ انس بن عیاض نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے شریک بن عبداللہ بن ابی نمر نے بیان کیا کہ انہوں نے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا آپ نے ایک شخص ( کعب بن مرہ یا ابوسفیان ) کا ذکر کیا جو منبر کے سامنے والے دروازے سے جمعہ کے دن مسجد نبوی میں آیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے خطبہ دے رہے تھے، اس نے بھی کھڑے کھڑے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کہا یا رسول اللہ! ( بارش نہ ہونے سے ) جانور مر گئے اور راستے بند ہو گئے آپ اللہ تعالیٰ سے بارش کی دعا فرمائیے انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ کہتے ہی ہاتھ اٹھا دیئے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دعا کی «اللهم اسقنا، اللهم اسقنا، اللهم اسقنا» کہ اے اللہ! ہمیں سیراب کر۔ اے اللہ! ہمیں سیراب کر۔ اے اللہ! ہمیں سیراب کر۔ انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا بخدا کہیں دور دور تک آسمان پر بادل کا کوئی ٹکڑا نظر نہیں آتا تھا اور نہ کوئی اور چیز ( ہوا وغیرہ جس سے معلوم ہو کہ بارش آئے گی ) اور ہمارے اور سلع پہاڑ کے درمیان کوئی مکان بھی نہ تھا ( کہ ہم بادل ہونے کے باوجود نہ دیکھ سکتے ہوں ) پہاڑ کے پیچھے سے ڈھال کے برابر بادل نمودار ہوا اور بیچ آسمان تک پہنچ کر چاروں طرف پھیل گیا اور بارش شروع ہو گئی، اللہ کی قسم! ہم نے سورج ایک ہفتہ تک نہیں دیکھا۔ پھر ایک شخص دوسرے جمعہ کو اسی دروازے سے آیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے خطبہ دے رہے تھے، اس شخص نے پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کھڑے کھڑے ہی مخاطب کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! ( بارش کی کثرت سے ) مال و منال پر تباہی آ گئی اور راستے بند ہو گئے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا کیجئے کہ بارش روک دے۔ پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہاتھ اٹھائے اور دعا کی «اللهم حوالينا ولا علينا، اللهم على الآكام والجبال والآجام والظراب والأودية ومنابت الشجر» کہ یا اللہ اب ہمارے اردگرد بارش برسا ہم سے اسے روک دے۔ ٹیلوں، پہاڑوں، پہاڑیوں، وادیوں اور باغوں کو سیراب کر۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اس دعا سے بارش ختم ہو گئی اور ہم نکلے تو دھوپ نکل چکی تھی۔ شریک نے کہا کہ میں نے انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا کہ یہ وہی پہلا شخص تھا تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ مجھے معلوم نہیں۔
