Rapporté par As-Sa'ib bin Yazid : `Uthman bin `Affan a introduit le deuxième appel à la prière le vendredi quand le nombre de personnes à la mosquée a augmenté. Avant cela, l’appel à la prière du vendredi était fait seulement après que l’imam se soit assis (sur la chaire)

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ السَّائِبَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ التَّأْذِينَ الثَّانِيَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ أَمَرَ بِهِ عُثْمَانُ حِينَ كَثُرَ أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ، وَكَانَ التَّأْذِينُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ حِينَ يَجْلِسُ الإِمَامُ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated As-Sa'ib bin Yazid:`Uthman bin `Affan introduced the second Adhan on Fridays when the number of the people in the mosque increased. Previously the Adhan on Fridays used to be pronounced only after the Imam had taken his seat (on the pulpit)

ہم سے یحییٰ بن بکیر نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے لیث بن سعد نے عقیل کے واسطے سے بیان کیا، ان سے ابن شہاب نے کہ سائب بن یزید نے انہیں خبر دی کہ جمعہ کی دوسری اذان کا حکم عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس وقت دیا جب نمازی بہت زیادہ ہو گئے تھے اور جمعہ کے دن اذان اس وقت ہوتی جب امام منبر پر بیٹھا کرتا تھا۔
