Rapporté par As-Saib bin Yazid : Du temps du Prophète, d’Abu Bakr et de `Umar, l’appel à la prière du vendredi était fait quand l’imam s’asseyait sur la chaire. Mais sous le califat de `Uthman, quand le nombre de musulmans a augmenté, un troisième appel à la prière a été ajouté à Az-Zaura’. Abu `Abdullah a dit : « Az-Zaura’ est un endroit dans le marché de Médine. »

حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ كَانَ النِّدَاءُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ أَوَّلُهُ إِذَا جَلَسَ الإِمَامُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ فَلَمَّا كَانَ عُثْمَانُ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ وَكَثُرَ النَّاسُ زَادَ النِّدَاءَ الثَّالِثَ عَلَى الزَّوْرَاءِ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated As-Saib bin Yazid:In the lifetime of the Prophet, Abu Bakr and `Umar, the Adhan for the Jumua prayer used to be pronounced when the Imam sat on the pulpit. But during the Caliphate of `Uthman when the Muslims increased in number, a third Adhan at Az-Zaura' was added. Abu `Abdullah said, "Az-Zaura' is a place in the market of Medina

ہم سے آدم نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے ابن ابی ذئب نے زہری کے واسطے سے بیان کیا، ان سے سائب بن یزید نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور ابوبکر اور عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے زمانے میں جمعہ کی پہلی اذان اس وقت دی جاتی تھی جب امام منبر پر خطبہ کے لیے بیٹھتے لیکن عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ کے زمانہ میں جب مسلمانوں کی کثرت ہو گئی تو وہ مقام زوراء سے ایک اور اذان دلوانے لگے۔ ابوعبداللہ ( امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ ) فرماتے ہیں کہ زوراء مدینہ کے بازار میں ایک جگہ ہے۔
