Rapporté par Yahya bin Sa`id : J’ai demandé à `Amra à propos du bain du vendredi. Elle a répondu : « Aisha a dit : ‘Les gens travaillaient pour gagner leur vie et, quand ils allaient à la prière du vendredi, ils allaient à la mosquée dans l’état où ils étaient après le travail. Alors on leur a demandé de prendre un bain le vendredi.’ »

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَمْرَةَ عَنِ الْغُسْلِ، يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَتْ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ كَانَ النَّاسُ مَهَنَةَ أَنْفُسِهِمْ، وَكَانُوا إِذَا رَاحُوا إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ رَاحُوا فِي هَيْئَتِهِمْ فَقِيلَ لَهُمْ لَوِ اغْتَسَلْتُمْ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Yahya bin Sa`id:I asked `Amra about taking a bath on Fridays. She replied, " Aisha said, 'The people used to work (for their livelihood) and whenever they went for the Jumua prayer, they used to go to the mosque in the same shape as they had been in work. So they were asked to take a bath on Friday

ہم سے عبدان عبداللہ بن عثمان نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہمیں عبداللہ بن مبارک نے خبر دی، کہا کہ ہمیں یحیٰی بن سعید نے خبر دی کہ انہوں نے عمرہ بنت عبدالرحمٰن سے جمعہ کے دن غسل کے بارے میں پوچھا۔ انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا فرماتی تھیں کہ لوگ اپنے کاموں میں مشغول رہتے اور جمعہ کے لیے اسی حالت ( میل کچیل ) میں چلے آتے، اس لیے ان سے کہا گیا کہ کاش تم لوگ ( کبھی ) غسل کر لیا کرتے۔
