كتاب الأذان
Rapporté par Mutarrif bin `Abdullah : `Imran bin Husain et moi avons prié derrière `Ali bin Abi Talib. Quand `Ali se prosternait, il disait "Takbir", quand il relevait la tête, il disait "Takbir", et quand il se levait pour la troisième unité, il disait "Takbir". À la fin de la prière, `Imran a pris ma main et a dit : Cet homme (`Ali) m’a rappelé la prière de Muhammad. Ou il a dit : Il nous a dirigés dans une prière comme celle de Muhammad

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ غَيْلاَنَ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَا وَعِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ،، فَكَانَ إِذَا سَجَدَ كَبَّرَ، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ كَبَّرَ، وَإِذَا نَهَضَ مِنَ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ كَبَّرَ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى الصَّلاَةَ أَخَذَ بِيَدِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ فَقَالَ قَدْ ذَكَّرَنِي هَذَا صَلاَةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم. أَوْ قَالَ لَقَدْ صَلَّى بِنَا صَلاَةَ مُحَمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Mutarrif bin `Abdullah:`Imran bin Husain and I offered the prayer behind `Ali bin Abi Talib. When `Ali prostrated, he said the Takbir, when he raised his head, he said the Takbir and when he got up for the third rak`a he said the Takbir. On completion of the prayer `Imran took my hand and said, "This (i.e. `Ali) made me remember the prayer of Muhammad" Or he said, "He led us in a prayer like that of Muhammad

ہم سے ابوالنعمان محمد بن فضل نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے حماد بن زید نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے غیلان بن جریر سے بیان کیا، انہوں نے مطرف بن عبداللہ بن شخیر سے، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے اور عمران بن حصین نے علی بن ابی طالب رضی اللہ عنہ کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی۔ تو وہ جب بھی سجدہ کرتے تو تکبیر کہتے۔ اسی طرح جب سر اٹھاتے تو تکبیر کہتے۔ جب دو رکعات کے بعد اٹھتے تو تکبیر کہتے۔ جب نماز ختم ہوئی تو عمران بن حصین نے میرا ہاتھ پکڑ کر کہا کہ علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے آج محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز یاد دلائی، یا یہ کہا کہ اس شخص نے ہم کو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی نماز کی طرح آج نماز پڑھائی۔
