كتاب الأذان
Rapporté par Abu Wa’il : Un homme est venu voir Ibn Mas`ud et a dit : J’ai récité les Mufassal (sourates) la nuit en une seule unité de prière. Ibn Mas`ud a dit : Cette récitation est (trop rapide) comme la récitation de la poésie. Je connais les mêmes sourates que le Prophète ﷺ récitait par paires. Ibn Mas`ud a ensuite cité 20 sourates Mufassal, dont deux de la famille de (celles qui commencent par) Ha, Meem [??] (que le Prophète ﷺ récitait) dans chaque unité de prière

حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ، قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فَقَالَ قَرَأْتُ الْمُفَصَّلَ اللَّيْلَةَ فِي رَكْعَةٍ. فَقَالَ هَذًّا كَهَذِّ الشِّعْرِ لَقَدْ عَرَفْتُ النَّظَائِرَ الَّتِي كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْرِنُ بَيْنَهُنَّ فَذَكَرَ عِشْرِينَ سُورَةً مِنَ الْمُفَصَّلِ سُورَتَيْنِ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ.
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Wa'il:A man came to Ibn Mas`ud and said, "I recited the Mufassal (Suras) at night in one rak`a." Ibn Mas`ud said, "This recitation is (too quick) like the recitation of poetry. I know the identical Suras which the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite in pairs." Ibn Mas`ud then mentioned 20 Mufassal Suras including two Suras from the family of (i.e. those verses which begin with) Ha, Meem [??] (which the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite) in each rak`a
Traduction en ourdou
ہم سے آدم بن ابی ایاس نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ ہم سے عمرو بن مرہ نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے ابووائل شقیق بن مسلم سے سنا کہ ایک شخص عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور کہا کہ میں نے رات ایک رکعت میں مفصل کی سورۃ پڑھی۔ آپ نے فرمایا کہ کیا اسی طرح ( جلدی جلدی ) پڑھی جیسے شعر پڑھے جاتے ہیں۔ میں ان ہم معنی سورتوں کو جانتا ہوں جنہیں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک ساتھ ملا کر پڑھتے تھے۔ آپ نے مفصل کی بیس سورتوں کا ذکر کیا۔ ہر رکعت کے لیے دو دو سورتیں۔
