Hadith 5250 — Livre 43: General Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab)

Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه : Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Celui qui laisse les serpents tranquilles par peur de leur poursuite ne fait pas partie de nous. Nous n’avons pas fait la paix avec eux depuis que nous les avons combattus. »

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عِكْرِمَةَ، يَرْفَعُ الْحَدِيثَ فِيمَا أُرَى إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَنْ تَرَكَ الْحَيَّاتِ مَخَافَةَ طَلَبِهِنَّ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا مَا سَالَمْنَاهُنَّ مُنْذُ حَارَبْنَاهُنَّ " .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: He who leaves the snakes along through fear of their pursuit, does not belong to us. We have not made peace with them since we have fought with them
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو شخص سانپوں کو ان کے انتقام کے ڈر سے چھوڑ دے یعنی انہیں نہ مارے وہ ہم میں سے نہیں ہے، جب سے ہماری ان سے لڑائی چھڑی ہے ہم نے ان سے کبھی بھی صلح نہیں کی ہے ( وہ ہمیشہ سے موذی رہے ہیں اور موذی کا قتل ضروری ہے ) ۔
