Hadith 4468 — Livre 40: Prescribed Punishments (Kitab Al-Hudud)

Rapporté par Abd Allah ibn Mas’ud رضي الله عنه : Un homme est venu voir le Prophète ﷺ et a dit : « J’ai eu un contact direct avec une femme à l’extrémité de la ville (Médine), et j’ai fait avec elle tout sauf l’acte sexuel. Me voici donc ; inflige-moi la punition que tu veux. » ‘Umar a alors dit : « Allah a caché ta faute ; il aurait été mieux que tu la caches aussi. » Le Prophète ﷺ a envoyé un homme après lui. (Quand il est revenu), il a récité le verset : « Accomplis la prière aux deux extrémités du jour et à certaines heures de la nuit… » jusqu’à la fin du verset. Un homme parmi les gens s’est levé et a demandé : « Est-ce que cela concerne seulement lui, Messager d’Allah, ou tout le monde ? » Il a répondu : « C’est pour tout le monde. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكٌ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، وَالأَسْوَدِ، قَالاَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ إِنِّي عَالَجْتُ امْرَأَةً مِنْ أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَأَصَبْتُ مِنْهَا مَا دُونَ أَنْ أَمَسَّهَا فَأَنَا هَذَا فَأَقِمْ عَلَىَّ مَا شِئْتَ . فَقَالَ عُمَرُ قَدْ سَتَرَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ لَوْ سَتَرْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ . فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَيْئًا فَانْطَلَقَ الرَّجُلُ فَأَتْبَعَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَجُلاً فَدَعَاهُ فَتَلاَ عَلَيْهِ { وَأَقِمِ الصَّلاَةَ طَرَفَىِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ } إِلَى آخِرِ الآيَةِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَهُ خَاصَّةً أَمْ لِلنَّاسِ كَافَّةً فَقَالَ " بَلْ لِلنَّاسِ كَافَّةً " .
Traduction anglaise
‘Abd Allah (b. Mas’ud) said:A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: I contacted directly a women at the furthest part of the city (i.e., Medina), and I did with her everything except sexual intercourse. So here I am; inflict any punishment you wish. Thereupon ‘Umar said: Allah has concealed your fault; it would have been better if you also had concealed it yourself. The Prophet (ﷺ) sent a men after him. (When he came) he recited the verse: “And establish regular prayers at the two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night. . .” up to the end of the verse. A man from the people got up and asked: Is it particular to him, Messenger of Allah, or for the people in general? He replied: It is all the people

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں ایک شخص نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں آیا اور عرض کیا: مدینہ کے آخری کنارے کی ایک عورت سے میں لطف اندوز ہوا، لیکن جماع نہیں کیا، تو اب میں حاضر ہوں میرے اوپر جو چاہیئے حد قائم کیجئے، عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: اللہ نے تیری پردہ پوشی کی تھی تو تو خود بھی پردہ پوشی کرتا تو بہتر ہوتا، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے کوئی جواب نہیں دیا، تو وہ شخص چلا گیا، پھر اس کے پیچھے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک شخص کو بھیجا، وہ اسے بلا کر لایا تو آپ نے اس پر یہ آیت تلاوت فرمائی «وأقم الصلاة طرفى النهار وزلفا من الليل» دن کے دونوں سروں میں نماز قائم کرو اور رات کی کچھ ساعتوں میں بھی ۔ ( ھود: ۱۱۴ ) ۱؎ تو ان میں سے ایک شخص نے پوچھا: اللہ کے رسول! کیا یہ اسی کے لیے خاص ہے، یا سارے لوگوں کے لیے ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: سارے لوگوں کے لیے ہے ۔
