Rapporté par Abu ‘Uthman al-Nahdi رضي الله عنه : ‘Umar a écrit à ‘Utbah ibn Farqad que le Prophète ﷺ avait interdit (de porter) la soie sauf pour untel, untel, jusqu’à deux, trois ou quatre doigts de largeur

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الأَحْوَلُ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، قَالَ كَتَبَ عُمَرُ إِلَى عُتْبَةَ بْنِ فَرْقَدٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنِ الْحَرِيرِ إِلاَّ مَا كَانَ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا أُصْبُعَيْنِ وَثَلاَثَةً وَأَرْبَعَةً .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu 'Uthman al-Nahdi:'Umar wrote to 'Utbah b. Farqad that the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade (wearing) silk except so-and-so, and so-and-so, to the extent of two, three, or four fingers
Traduction en ourdou
ابوعثمان نہدی کہتے ہیں کہ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے عتبہ بن فرقد کو لکھا کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ریشم سے منع فرمایا مگر جو اتنا اور اتنا ہو یعنی دو، تین اور چار انگلی کے بقدر ہو۔
