Rapporté par Amir ibn Shahr : Quand le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a été envoyé comme prophète, Hamdan m’a dit : « Veux-tu aller voir cet homme et négocier pour nous avec lui ? Si tu acceptes quelque chose, nous l’accepterons, et si tu refuses quelque chose, nous le refuserons. » J’ai accepté. Je suis donc allé voir le Messager d’Allah ﷺ. J’ai apprécié sa démarche et mon peuple a embrassé l’islam. Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a rédigé un document pour Umayr Dhu Marran. Il a aussi envoyé Malik ibn Murarah ar-Rahawi à tout le Yémen. Akk Dhu Khaywan a alors embrassé l’islam. On a dit à Akk : « Va voir le Messager d’Allah ﷺ et obtiens sa protection pour ta ville et tes biens. » Il est donc allé le voir et le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a écrit un document pour lui : « Au nom d’Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux. De Muhammad, le Messager d’Allah, à Akk Dhu Khaywan. S’il est sincère, sa terre, ses biens et son esclave bénéficient de la sécurité et de la protection d’Allah et de Muhammad, le Messager d’Allah. » Rédigé par Khalid ibn Sa’id ibn al-‘As

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ شَهْرٍ، قَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَتْ لِي هَمْدَانُ هَلْ أَنْتَ آتٍ هَذَا الرَّجُلَ وَمُرْتَادٌ لَنَا فَإِنْ رَضِيتَ لَنَا شَيْئًا قَبِلْنَاهُ وَإِنْ كَرِهْتَ شَيْئًا كَرِهْنَاهُ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ . فَجِئْتُ حَتَّى قَدِمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَرَضِيتُ أَمْرَهُ وَأَسْلَمَ قَوْمِي وَكَتَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم هَذَا الْكِتَابَ إِلَى عُمَيْرٍ ذِي مَرَّانَ قَالَ وَبَعَثَ مَالِكَ بْنَ مِرَارَةَ الرَّهَاوِيَّ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ جَمِيعًا فَأَسْلَمَ عَكٌّ ذُو خَيْوَانَ . قَالَ فَقِيلَ لِعَكٍّ انْطَلِقْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَخُذْ مِنْهُ الأَمَانَ عَلَى قَرْيَتِكَ وَمَالِكَ فَقَدِمَ وَكَتَبَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ لِعَكٍّ ذِي خَيْوَانَ إِنْ كَانَ صَادِقًا فِي أَرْضِهِ وَمَالِهِ وَرَقِيقِهِ فَلَهُ الأَمَانُ وَذِمَّةُ اللَّهِ وَذِمَّةُ مُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ " . وَكَتَبَ خَالِدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Amir ibn Shahr: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) appeared as a prophet, Hamdan said to me: Will you go to this man and negotiate for us (with him)? If you accept something, we shall accept it, and if you disapprove of something, we shall disapprove of it. I said: Yes. So I proceeded until I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). I liked his motive and my people embraced Islam. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wrote the document for Umayr Dhu Marran. He also sent Malik ibn Murarah ar-Rahawi to all the (people of) Yemen. So Akk Dhu Khaywan embraced Islam. Akk was told: Go to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and obtain his protection for your town and property. He therefore came (to him) and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wrote a document for him: "In the name of Allah, Most Beneficent, Most Merciful. From Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, to Akk Dhu Khaywan. If he is true his land, property and slave, he has the security and the protection of Allah, and Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah. Written by Khalid ibn Sa'id ibn al-'As

عامر بن شہر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا ( بحیثیت نبی ) ظہور ہوا تو مجھ سے ( قبیلہ ) ہمدان کے لوگوں نے کہا: کیا تم اس آدمی کے پاس جاؤ گے اور ہماری طرف سے اس سے بات چیت کرو گے؟ اگر تمہیں کچھ بھی اطمینان ہوا تو ہم اسے قبول کر لیں گے، اگر تم نے اسے ناپسند کیا تو ہم بھی برا جانیں گے، میں نے کہا: ہاں ( ٹھیک ہے میں جاؤں گا ) پھر میں چلا یہاں تک کہ میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا، تو آپ کا معاملہ ہمیں پسند آ گیا ( تو میں اسلام لے آیا ) اور میری قوم بھی اسلام لے آئی، اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عمیر ذی مران کو یہ تحریر لکھ کر دی، اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مالک بن مرارہ رہاوی کو تمام یمن والوں کے پاس ( اسلام کا پیغام پہنچانے کے لیے ) بھیجا، تو عک ذوخیوان ( ایک شخص کا نام ہے ) اسلام لے آیا۔ عک ذوخیوان سے کہا گیا کہ تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس جا اور آپ سے اپنی بستی اور اپنے مال کے لیے امان لے کر آ ( تاکہ آئندہ کوئی تجھ پر اور تیری بستی والوں پر زیادتی نہ کرے ) تو وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے لکھ کر دیا آپ نے لکھا: بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف سے جو اللہ کے رسول ہیں عک ذوخیوان کے لیے اگر وہ سچا ہے تو اسے لکھ کر دیا جاتا ہے کہ اس کو امان ہے، اس کی زمین، اس کے مال اور اس کے غلاموں میں، اسے اللہ اور اللہ کے رسول محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف سے ذمہ اور امان و پناہ حاصل ہے ۔ ( راوی کہتے ہیں ) خالد بن سعید بن العاص نے یہ پروانہ ( رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف سے ) اسے لکھ کر دیا۔
