Hadith 635 — Livre 2: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat)
كتاب الصلاة
Ibn ‘Umar رضي الله عنه a rapporté que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit, ou bien il a rapporté que ‘Umar رضي الله عنه a dit (le narrateur hésite) : « Si l’un de vous possède deux vêtements, qu’il prie avec les deux ; s’il n’en a qu’un, qu’il l’utilise comme pagne et qu’il ne le pose pas sur l’épaule comme le font les Juifs. »

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَوْ قَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُ رضى الله عنه " إِذَا كَانَ لأَحَدِكُمْ ثَوْبَانِ فَلْيُصَلِّ فِيهِمَا فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ إِلاَّ ثَوْبٌ وَاحِدٌ فَلْيَتَّزِرْ بِهِ وَلاَ يَشْتَمِلِ اشْتِمَالَ الْيَهُودِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Ibn ‘Umar reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying, or reported ‘Umar as saying (the narrator is doubtful):if one of you has two (piece of) cloth, he should pray in them; if he has a single (piece of) cloth, he should use it as a wrapper, and should not hang it upon the shoulder like the Jews
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا: جب تم میں سے کسی کے پاس دو کپڑے ہوں تو چاہیئے کہ ان دونوں میں نماز پڑھے، اور اگر ایک ہی کپڑا ہو تو چاہیئے کہ اسے تہہ بند بنا لے اور اسے یہودیوں کی طرح نہ لٹکائے ۱؎ ۔
