Hadith 2799 — Livre 16: Sacrifice (Kitab Al-Dahaya)
كتاب الضحايا
Rapporté par ‘Asim b. Kulaib, d’après son père : Nous étions avec un homme parmi les Compagnons du Prophète ﷺ appelé Mujashi’, de Banu Sulaim. Il y avait alors peu de chèvres. Il a demandé à un homme de faire une annonce : le Messager d’Allah ﷺ disait : « Un agneau peut être offert à la place d’un animal adulte quand il s’agit de s’acquitter du sacrifice. » Abu Dawud a précisé : Son nom est Mujashi’ b. Mas’ud

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُقَالُ لَهُ مُجَاشِعٌ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ فَعَزَّتِ الْغَنَمُ فَأَمَرَ مُنَادِيًا فَنَادَى أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَقُولُ " إِنَّ الْجَذَعَ يُوَفِّي مِمَّا يُوَفِّي مِنْهُ الثَّنِيُّ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَهُوَ مُجَاشِعُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated 'Asim b. Kulaib: On the authority of his father: We were with a man from the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) called Mujashi' who belonged to Banu Sulaim. There was a scarcity if goats (in those days). He commanded a man to announce (among the people); so he announced that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say: A lamb may be given as full payent for that for which has full-grown animal is payment. Abu Dawud said: His name is Mujashi' b. Mas'ud

کلیب کہتے ہیں کہ ہم مجاشع نامی بنی سلیم کے ایک صحابی رسول کے ساتھ تھے اس وقت بکریاں مہنگی ہو گئیں تو انہوں نے منادی کو حکم دیا کہ وہ اعلان کر دے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فر ماتے تھے: جذع ( ایک سالہ ) اس چیز سے کفایت کرتا ہے جس سے «ثنی» ( وہ جانور جس کے سامنے کے دانت گر گئے ہوں ) کفایت کرتا ہے ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: یہ مجاشع بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ تھے۔
