Hadith 2241 — Livre 13: Divorce (Kitab Al-Talaq)
كتاب الطلاق
Rapporté par Al-Harith ibn Qays al-Asadi رضي الله عنه : J’ai embrassé l’islam alors que j’avais huit femmes. J’en ai parlé au Prophète ﷺ. Le Prophète ﷺ m’a dit : « Choisis-en quatre. » Abu Dawud a dit : Cette tradition nous a aussi été rapportée par Ahmad b. Ibrahim, de Hushaim, qui a dit : Qais b. al-Harith au lieu de al-Harith b. Qais. Ahmad b. Ibrahim a dit : C’est bien Qais b. al-Harith

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ حُمَيْضَةَ بْنِ الشَّمَرْدَلِ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، - قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ ابْنِ عُمَيْرَةَ . وَقَالَ وَهْبٌ الأَسَدِيِّ - قَالَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَعِنْدِي ثَمَانُ نِسْوَةٍ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اخْتَرْ مِنْهُنَّ أَرْبَعًا " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَقَالَ قَيْسُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ مَكَانَ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ هَذَا الصَّوَابُ . يَعْنِي قَيْسَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Al-Harith ibn Qays al-Asadi: I embraced Islam while I had eight wives. So I mentioned it to the Prophet (ﷺ). The Prophet (said) said: Select four of them. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has also been narrated to us by Ahmad b. Ibrahim from Hushaim. He said: Qais b. al-Harith instead of al-Harith b. Qais. Ahmad b. Ibrahim said: This is correct, i.e. Qais b. al-Harith

حارث بن قیس اسدی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں میں نے اسلام قبول کیا، میرے پاس آٹھ بیویاں تھیں تو میں نے اس کا ذکر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کیا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ان میں سے چار کا انتخاب کر لو ( اور باقی کو طلاق دے دو ) ۔
