Ibn ‘Uqail a rapporté cette tradition avec un léger changement de formulation. Dans sa version, il a dit : Il s’est rincé la bouche trois fois et a pris de l’eau dans le nez trois fois

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَقِيلٍ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ يُغَيِّرُ بَعْضَ مَعَانِي بِشْرٍ قَالَ فِيهِ وَتَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْثَرَ ثَلاَثًا .
Traduction anglaise
Ibn ‘Uqail reported this tradition with a slight change of wording. In his tradition he said:He rinsed his mouth three times and snuffed up water three times

ابن عقیل سے بھی یہی حدیث اسی سند سے مروی ہے، اس میں (سفیان نے) بشر کی حدیث کے بعض مفاہیم کو بدل دیا ہے اس میں ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کلی کی اور تین مرتبہ ناک جھاڑی۔
