Hadiz 3565 — Libro 61: Virtues and Merits of the Prophet (pbuh) and his Companions

Narrated Anas:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) did not use to raise his hands in his invocations except in the Istisqa (i.e. invoking Allah for the rain) in which he used to raise his hands so high that one could see the whiteness of his armpits. (Note: It may be that Anas did not see the Prophet (ﷺ) raising his hands but it has been narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to raise his hands for invocations other than Istisqa. ہم سے عبدالاعلی بن حماد نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے یزید بن زریع نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے سعید نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے قتادہ سے، انہوں نے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم دعا استسقاء کے سوا اور کسی دعا میں ( زیادہ اونچا ) ہاتھ نہیں اٹھاتے تھے۔ اس دعا میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اتنا اونچا ہاتھ اٹھاتے کہ بغل مبارک کی سفیدی دکھائی دیتی تھی۔
