Hadith 3348 — Book 23: Commercial Transactions (Kitab Al-Buyu)
كتاب البيوع
Narrated 'Umar:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: Gold for gold is interest unless both hand over on the spot ; wheat for wheat is interest unless both hand over on the spot ; dates for dates is interest unless both hand over on the spot ; barley for barley is interest unless both hand over on the spot

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، وَعَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ، - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ رِبًا إِلاَّ هَاءَ وَهَاءَ وَالْبُرُّ بِالْبُرِّ رِبًا إِلاَّ هَاءَ وَهَاءَ وَالتَّمْرُ بِالتَّمْرِ رِبًا إِلاَّ هَاءَ وَهَاءَ وَالشَّعِيرُ بِالشَّعِيرِ رِبًا إِلاَّ هَاءَ وَهَاءَ " .
Urdu translation
عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: سونا چاندی کے بدلے بیچنا سود ہے مگر جب نقدا نقد ہو، گیہوں گیہوں کے بدلے بیچنا سود ہے مگر جب نقدا نقد ہو، اور کھجور کھجور کے بدلے بیچنا سود ہے مگر جب نقدا نقد ہو، اور جو جو کے بدلے بیچنا سود ہے مگر جب نقدا نقد ہو ( نقدا نقد ہونے کی صورت میں ان چیزوں میں سود نہیں ہے لیکن شرط یہ بھی ہے کہ برابر بھی ہوں ) ۱؎۔
