Will non-Muslims go to hell?

Short answerJudgment of individuals belongs to Allah alone. Muslims hold that whoever received a clear, true message and rejected it stubbornly is accountable to Allah, while the one it never reached, or reached distorted, is in the hands of the Merciful and Just. The Quran gives glad tidings of reward to the righteous of every community.

What the Quran says

Quran

Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)] - those [among them] who believed in Allāh and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.

Al-Baqarah 2:62
Quran

And whoever desires other than Islām as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.

Ali 'Imran 3:85

The two verses are read together: the first gives glad tidings to people of faith and good deeds among the nations, and the second states that Islam is the religion accepted by Allah after Muhammad’s ﷺ mission. Scholars agree that no human may pronounce a specific person to be in the Fire.

Mercy

Quran

And decree for us in this world [that which is] good and [also] in the Hereafter; indeed, we have turned back to You." [Allāh] said, "My punishment - I afflict with it whom I will, but My mercy encompasses all things." So I will decree it [especially] for those who fear Me and give zakāh and those who believe in Our verses-

Al-A'raf 7:156
