Surah Al-'Asr (The Declining Day)

Surah Al-'Asr is a Makkan surah with 3 verses; it is number 103 in the Quran.

سُورَةُ العصر

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

  1. وَٱلۡعَصۡرِ ﴿١﴾

    103:1 By time,[1985]

    Notes

    [1985] An oath in which Allāh swears by time throughout the ages.

  2. إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ لَفِي خُسۡرٍ ﴿٢﴾

    103:2 Indeed, mankind is in loss,

  3. إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ ﴿٣﴾

    103:3 Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
