Day 15: The Friday prayer
Today’s lessonFriday is the weekly festival: a sermon and a two-rak‘ah congregational prayer at the mosque, with bathing, fragrance and arriving early encouraged. It is a chance to meet Muslims and learn.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن يَوۡمِ ٱلۡجُمُعَةِ فَٱسۡعَوۡاْ إِلَىٰ ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُواْ ٱلۡبَيۡعَۚ ذَٰلِكُمۡ خَيۡرٞ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَO die ihr glaubt, wenn zum Gebet gerufen wird am Freitag, dann eilt zu Allahs Gedenken und laßt das Kaufgeschäft. Das ist besser für euch, wenn ihr wißt.
